Kind-hearted BPC volunteers help revamp The Space

The Space in Stockport is a community centre run by the Stockport Race Equality Partnership, which works to integrate communities in the local area. Recently Overbury led a project to fit-out The Space to make it a more modern, welcoming place. As you can see from the photos, the end result was fantastic.

Working alongside others in Overbury’s supply chain, BPC’s operatives along with Chris McDonnell volunteered to turn the project into reality. Over 5 days they completed infill near openings, made good plasterwork by bonding and skimming and also made good existing walls.

Georgina Murphy, Overbury’s CSR & Delivery Improvement Manager was delighted with what all the volunteers achieved. She dropped everyone a line to say: “We handed The Space over to the charity and it is fair to say there was a huge sense of gratitude, overwhelming thankfulness for the work you have all done, along with a few happy tears! Their feedback really was heartwarming and they can’t express the amazing difference the work will make to the local community and the people they support.”

Well done to Chris and all involved!
