SBTi has approved our plan to cut emissions. Now it’s time to get working!

We are incredibly proud to share that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has approved BPC Interiors Ltd’s near- and long-term science-based emissions reduction targets. This is a vital step in our journey towards net-zero.

If you’re not yet familiar with the SBTi, it’s a global organisation that enables companies to play their part in combating the climate crisis by setting targets in line with the latest climate science.

As a specialist contractor in the built environment, we recognise the significant role our sector plays in tackling climate change. Our approved targets are:

• BPC Interiors Ltd commits to reduce scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2031 from a 2024 base year, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions.
• BPC Interiors Ltd commits to reach net-zero by 2050. As part of this, it commits to reduce scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions 95% by 2050 from a 2024 base year.

In line with SBTi criteria, we will prioritise direct emissions reductions (decarbonisation) across our operations and value chain. Because a large proportion of our environmental impact comes through our supply chain and project delivery, collaboration with our clients and partners will be critical to achieving this science-based net-zero target.

We’re proud of where we are today, and even more excited to move from commitment to delivery.
