The British Heart Foundation Trek
On the 10th of September 2022, fifteen members of the BPC team will be trekking 25km across London’s iconic bridges in support of The British Heart Foundation. The team will cross an impressive 16 bridges, beginning at Putney and finishing at Tower Bridge.
In 2018, BPC director Brian Forth very sadly lost his life to a heart attack. Later on in 2019, director Barry Knight also suffered a heart attack. Thankfully, Barry made a full recovery, but as a fit and healthy man the situation came as a complete shock.
Following these events, we now carry a defibrillator at the BPC office. We have also registered this on “The Circuit” defibrillator map, so that emergency services may direct any member of the public to locate and use the defibrillator.
It is for this reason, that we at BPC have selected The British Heart Foundation as our chosen charity. The BHF’s vital research has helped to halve annual deaths from heart and circulatory disease in the UK, but there are still more lives to be saved.
