We’ve helped Chingford Scouts save £££s!
You may remember that, about 18 months ago, we teamed up with volunteers from Overbury and other companies to transform the 10th Chingford Scout Hall.
One of the things we worked hard on was fitting a new suspended ceiling. Two of our fixers installed an Armstrong ceiling grid, then finished it off with 100m2 of tiles.
This wasn’t just about aesthetics—the impact has been incredible!
Ann Daly, Information Manager at Overbury, popped into the Scout Hall in late August and discovered something amazing.
She dropped us a line to tell us the news: “I was told that since the new ceiling has gone up, their heating bill has REDUCED by over £100 per month – which is absolutely amazing for a charity like them to save so much money per year.”
We’re delighted that our work has had such a major impact and proud that the Scouts will be able to use the money they save to improve the lives of local young people.
